ABOUT THE EVENT

This session opens the Spring 2026 series with a collective exploration of LGBTQ+ identities within Armenian language and culture. We’ll begin with a gentle mental-health check-in using Queersista materials, creating space for grounding and care before moving into our main reading.

Together, we’ll read and discuss an LGBTQ+ affirming holidays calendar, using it as a lens to reflect on visibility, celebration, and belonging across cultural contexts. This session invites participants to think about how identity, language, and care intersect - both historically and in the present.
