ABOUT THE EVENT

Starting Monday, September 9th, join us for six engaging sessions designed to foster an inclusive community of literature enthusiasts. Our curated readings focus on feminist, queer, and politically progressive writers and artists, offering a unique lens through which to explore Armenian culture. Whether you're fluent in Armenian or just beginning your journey, Ejanish is your gateway to enhancing your reading, speaking, and listening skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Admission to Ejanish is free. The attendance policy is flexible and encourages participation according to individual schedules. The sessions, held in the inviting outdoor space of Sooki Studio, are structured to facilitate immersive discussions, promoting active engagement with the texts and fellow participants. This format ensures a welcoming environment for all attendees, supporting GALAS's mission to create inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ Armenians and allies.

The collaboration with local partners, including Sooki Studio, Abril Books, and the USC Armenian Studies Institute, underscores the initiative's community-oriented vision. Through these partnerships, Ejanish aims to connect the dots between Armenian cultural heritage and contemporary issues, enriching the community's understanding and appreciation of diverse narratives.
