ABOUT THE EVENT

This session centers movement as a form of storytelling and cultural memory. We’ll begin by reading a poem inspired by a traditional dance from the Sasun region, grounding our understanding in language and place. Following the reading, Sarkis Aghajanyan will lead a participatory dance workshop, teaching a Sasun dance and guiding participants through its rhythms, meanings, and communal roots. No prior dance experience is required, this session welcomes curiosity, embodiment, and collective movement.
